happy leap day

hey everybody, it's february 29th and that means that tonight's the night of my concert at linnaea's! if you're just hearing about it for the first time right now then it's probably too short of notice for you to come, but it should be a lot of fun and if you can make it i'd love to see you there!

i'm gonna be playing a lot of originals (i usually play more covers) and i've got several new songs that i haven't played in concert yet (originals and covers). i'm also going to have cd's available that have new songs and much better versions of old songs for your listening pleasure. the show starts at 8 pm and goes till 10, there's great coffee and it's a really nice little cafe, see you there!

hey everyone!

the big reason for this update is that i've got a show coming up this friday! you coming? it's gonna be at linnaea's coffee shop in slo from 8 to 10. details and directions in the shows section :)

have you check out the new versions of our songs with the great piano stuff jaime recorded yet? if not, then i highly recommend it! why not start with homesick?. they're still preliminary mixes, but i think they already sound great and i hope you agree!

the cat's in the cradle

well well well. have i got news.

*ahem*

so, this last saturday (yesterday), matt, dan, and i met in the sanctuary of the new life church in pismo. this meeting has been in the works for quite some time, and it was a very important day. for sunday was the day we were meeting with our good friend jamie to record the piano for ten of our songs.

yes!

alright, well it was incredibly fun, especially considering i had no idea what to expect since i've never miked a piano before, jamie's never played with us before, and we only had one day and a really ambitious list of songs to do. it was one of the funnest (yea, it's a word) recording sessions i've ever had, and it came out sounding so so good i can't even describe it. we added piano to butterflies and homesick just to name a few, as well as some of our instrumentals and some newer songs dan and matt have been working on. i cannot wait to get the mastered versions of these songs online for you guys to hear, it's incredible.

ok, and that's about it. just wanted to let y'all know. this was a huge step towards getting the cd finished and it went better than i could have hoped, so yay!

don't forget about linnaea's at the end of this month, hope to see you there!
