let's go go go

i've got new shows! one of them (june 21st at 8 pm) will be in san jose, my first real out of town show, i'm very excited, i'll let you know how it goes!

also there's a now three videos on our youtube with over three thousand views, the pace seems to be picking up. i also put up my first instructional video, it teaches you how to play my cover of "transatlanticism" by death cab for cutie. check it out if you like :)

also, i forgot to mention this earlier, but i was interviewed by a santa maria paper after my recent winning of the "best song" award at the songwrtier's competition. the article's available online here!

in case you didn't notice it, i wanted to let y'all know that the july 29th show at the clubhouse is not only going to be a featured 45 minute set, but it's also going to be the whole band, not just little ol' me! the full band shows have been better every time and i'm really excited about this one, so i hope you guys can make it!

new show

hey there, just wanted to let you know to check out the shows section, two shows coming up this week, one brand new one at peet's coffee & tea on friday night at 7:30 in downtown slo! i'm really excited about doing a coffee shop set, nice and mellow, it should be a lot of fun. hope you guys cane make it.

in other news, i've got two videos on youtube now with over 3000 views, trapeze swinger and all you need is love. there's a lot of new videos up on the youtube account, check em out if you get the time!

awards and new songs!

hey everyone!

first off, i put up a blog about my recent show at the shell beach farmer's market on my myspace, if you're interested you can check it out there or on my personal blogger blog here!

also, the first sunday of every month there's a local songwriter's competition open to westcoast songwriter's association members (i'm a member). if you'll remember, back in december i won the "best song" award for my song, "homesick". well, just last sunday was the first month i was once more eligible to compete, and i entered. i performed my two newest songs, san francisco and waiting, and wouldn't you know it? they both tied for best song! so in the end, they awarded "best song" to san francisco which was really great. i got some awesome feedback too and i had a lot of fun playing. oh yeah, and the santa maria times gave me a call yesterday to interview me about the win :) that was a lot of fun, and i'm really looking forward to seeing it in the paper, even though i feel like i was a total retard during the interview. it's about the competition in general, not just me, and it's scheduled to be in the may 16th issue, next friday!

ok, in other news, i had to cancel my upcoming may 24th show at the shell farmer's, hopefully no one was planning on coming to that, the shows section will be updated very soon. i'm playing ont he 13th at the songwriter's showcase (a dozen local songwriters, 6:30 to 9:30) at the clubhouse (740 west foothill blvd.) though, so stop by if you like :)

lastly, i've got a new song up! it's a cover unfortunately, but i've got plenty of originals in the works too, and this one if really a beautiful old song, i can't imagine why i've never played it before. check it out here, hope you like it!
