Loren Radis - Guitar, Lead Vocals, Writing.
Loren Radis is a singer-songwriter on the rise. The 23-year-old front man of the band Each Passing Day is building a strong following on California's Central Coast, and he's preparing to hit the road this fall to promote his debut CD. He's twice won the "Best Song" prize at the West Coast Songwriters Competitions in San Luis Obispo.
Thousands of fans have viewed his videos on YouTube (58 are now posted here: www.youtube.com/deadplant155), ranging from soulful originals to covers of Damien Rice, Death Cab for Cutie, Elliott Smith, Simon & Garfunkel, and a bunch of Beatles songs. Hundreds of listeners on thesixtyone.com have bumped his songs into the Top 20, ahead of Iron & Wine and Feist.
Loren is the son of a pro musician (his dad, Bo Radis), so Loren began playing guitar at age 12, and singing just for fun. But he has seriously developed his songwriting and performing skills in the last two years, finding that emotional release that only music provides. "My songs helped me through some really tough times," he says, "and if they can help other people, then I'm glad."

Matt Schimtz - Drums, Guitar, Writing.
Hi, I'm Matt. As of February 16th 2008, I'm 26 years old, I'm married to a beautiful and Godly woman and I'm attending Cal Poly in my 10 year pursuit of graduating with a degree in Photography and Digital Imagery.
In regards to music, I've played drums since I was a junior in high school, so about 10 years. I took lessons for about 1 1/2 years and set out on my own from there. I'm not at all great at playing drums, but you don't have to be great to make great music. Which leads me to my music.....
Unfortunately for the my listening audience, I'm not that great at writing lyrics and playing guitar either! Why would I let that stop me from writing and playing songs? What better way to learn how to do those things than by recording my first efforts in these areas and putting them on display for all to hear!? Which leads me to my perspective on our music....
For me, it's something I do for fun and something I'd like to do more often if time and opportunties ever allow me to do so. I feel like playing together allows me to bounce ideas off people that can help me, making a small idea into a great song. This group is as much an open-ended experiment in creativity, direction and ideas as it is just being a band that plays for peoples' enjoyment. I not only participate in it to push myself and the other guys creatively, to see where ideas can go, I of course want our end product to be something that other people might enjoy. Hopefully, both of those things get accomplished.

Dan Schmitz - Guitar, Bass, Writing.
I don't really know for sure, but I think I was 14 when I first started playing guitar, which means I've been playing for about 10 years. I never had a desire to play music up until a certain point in my life, and if I could ever say I had the good Lord tell me to do something, it was to play music. So who was I to argue? I started that day and enjoyed every other one since.
I have to say that I'm very blessed to have come to the point where I am now in my journey as a musician. I never thought that I'd be playing music and recording as much as I have. Growing up in high school, I had opportunities to play music in many areas, such as live musicals, church worship bands, local bands and a couple of gigs as a stand-in musician for bands that needed a bassist or a guitarist for a weekend. All of that experience has really helped form me into the musician I am now.
I'd have to say that I couldn't ask for more talented musicians to play with than my very own brother Matt and childhood friend Loren. We've been playing together for years and have grown tighter and developed our style as a whole. My duty in live performance and recording is playing bass, but I try to learn and understand music as a whole as much as I can.
Outside of the band, I currently teach guitar and bass lessons as well as play for church worship bands whenever needed. I try to make music more than just something to please crowds. I try to make music be something people can experience, something that can move individuals and groups alike, and something that can change lives.
